CPBank sponsored Smile Cambodia Surgical Mission to provide free surgery and treatment to Cambodian patients with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial deformities and joint “Walk for a Smile 2024” for 23km in Siem Reap Province.

The Surgical Mission was on 20-22 March 2024 at Siem Reap Provincial Referral Hospital. In the mission, 44 patients were successfully treated.

“Walk for a Smile 2024” was on 23 March 2024, participated by local and international volunteered doctors and sponsors.

How to redeem

CPBank is honored to partner with the National Bank of Cambodia in supporting the “Embedding Financial Education within the National School Curriculum Project, Phase III”, the final phase which is implementing for three years from 2024 to 2026.

In this phase, the priority is to integrate financial education in seven grades (grades 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12), focusing on four subjects: Mathematics, Moral Civics, Home Economics, and Live Skills; build capacity of teachers; and pilot in real schools.

The support of CPBank in this project demonstrates the joint commitment and efforts of the bank to teach important financial skills to students such as understanding of money, investment and financial management from an early age to enable them to make right financial decisions.

In addition, embedding financial education within the national school curriculum is a holistic approach that will help cultivate a sense of responsibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that are keys for individual’s success.

On 6th January 2023, CPBank organized the 9th General Assembly at Independent Hotel, Preah Sihanouk Province. It was presided over by Mr. Toch Chaochek, Chief Executive Officer, and participated by all management team, branch managers and 2022’s outstanding staff.

The objective of this General Assembly is to celebrate CPBank achievement in 2022 and to set business strategies for 2023. It also allowed management team and branch managers to strengthen their relationship and collaboration in order to improve the quality of effective management to provide the best financial products and services to customers.

 

During the event, the management team has also presented certificates to outstanding branches and staff in 2022.

CPBank organized “Clean Up Day”, participated by the Bank’s management and staff, by collecting rubbish in public parks and streets in Phnom Penh and all provinces in Cambodia on 10 December 2022. This activity aimed to promote well-being, beauty and public order of the capital city and provinces, and to remind the public to avoid littering for clean environment and healthy living.

In Pnhom Penh, about 400 Management and staff from CPBank Head Office and 12 Phnom Penh branches gathered to clean an area around the Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge (Chroy Changvar Bridge) and along the river bank of the Tonle Sap River in Chroy Changvar District, Phnom Penh.

Battambang: On November 26, 2022, CPBank donated 20 million Riels to support Nikom Primary-Secondary School in Nikom Krau Village, Chrouy Sdau Commune, Thmor Koul District, Battambang province for building concrete roads and installing solar lights for public benefits.

The bank also brought some money and souvenirs for 44 teachers and local authorities, each of whom received 1 eco-bag, 1 alcohol sprayer, and 50,000 KHR, and 1,204 students, each of whom received 1 backpack, 2 books, 2 pens, and 15,000 KHR.

On September 30, 2022, CPBank received the Outstanding Collaboration Award 2022 from Credit Bureau Cambodia Co., Ltd (CBC), which is the leading provider of financial information, analytical solutions, and credit reporting services to financial institutions and consumers in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Toch Chao Chek, Chief Executive Officer of CPBank, said this award is another achievement of the bank in contributing to financial stability in Cambodia.

On 22 September 2022, CPBank collected the “SME Financier of The Year – Asia” Silver category and “Best Financier for Women Entrepreneurs” Silver category awards at the Global SME Finance Forum Awards 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.

 

CPBank sponsored a badminton tournament “T Open 2022” on 7th and 8th October 2022 at T-Badminton Court in order to promote sport and healthy activities in Cambodia.

On October 7th, 2022, CPBank participated in the first Postal Forum, Postal Service Exhibition, and celebration of “World Post Day” of the Universal Postal Union under the theme “Post for Planet” in collaboration with the Cambodia Post Office, Postal Operators, and International Organizations at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

The Global SME Finance Forum Awards are organised by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank, and the SME Finance Forum.
